Bareknuckle Books aims to publish daring new literary writing by the most exciting authors working today. We are a independent press and therefore offer only a limited number of titles per year. We approach each of these titles with the care and devotion writers should expect from their publisher as their art is edited and prepared for market publication. Several times throughout the year Bareknuckle Books opens for general submissions. Check below for current status ⇲
Anthology vol.3 best australian writing 2018
〶 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES VOL.3 2018
Bareknuckle Poet Anthology 2018 Best Australian Writing with award winning author Venero Armanno as guest short fiction editor is NOW OPEN for submissions of short fiction, creative/non-fiction, essays and poetry. 2018 is Bareknuckle Poet’s third print anthology and will be published in November filling the gap left by the demise of the ‘Best Australian…’ series previously published by Black Inc. We don’t like ‘themes’ but each year we dedicate an issue to one of Bareknuckle Poet’s favourite writers to coincide with the anniversary of their most important works, or on the year they left us.
Considering the constraint of publishing a ‘Best Australian Writing’ edition the editorial board has concluded we are calling for texts written both ‘from’ and ‘in’ this country. Submissions for VOL.3 are restricted to the following: Australian citizens, residents of Australia, and refugees incarcerated by Australia.
For possible inclusion for 2018 work must be contributed to and published by Bareknuckle Poet online between the dates of March 21st & September 1st 2018. ⇢
